# Early Ed Days

Our hands-on STEM activities are designed for preschool and early elementary students to explore science, engineering, and robotics in a fun, safe, and engaging way. During Early Ed Day visits, students work in small groups to build, experiment, and play while learning basic concepts such as balance, motion, energy, and teamwork.

Activities include:

* **Marshmallow Towers:** Build towers with spaghetti and marshmallows to explore shapes, stability, and cooperation
* **Catch a Rainbow:** Watch colors move in milk with soap to learn about liquids and cause-and-effect
* **Catapults:** Launch mini marshmallows to discover push, pull, and stored energy in a safe, hands-on way
* **EV3 Robot Challenges:** Drive pre-built LEGO robots through simple races and obstacle courses to learn about programming, motion, and problem-solving

Each activity encourages curiosity, creativity, and group collaboration, giving young learners a memorable introduction to STEM in action.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.iowacityrobotics.org/outreach/early-ed-days.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
